Whether by individuals, corporation or trusts, tax evasion is the criminal misrepresentation of tax liability. There are many elements that are considered tax evasion, including unreported income and evasion of customs duties. The amount of tax evasion for any jurisdiction is related to the efficiency of the tax code and administration, and punishment is dependent on the jurisdiction.
