What happens to my open positions during transfer?

After market close on your transfer date, FXCM will close all positions using the Friday mark-to-market (M2M) rate. This realizes the position's PnL at FXCM as of that rate. Then, AvaTrade will reopen the position at your original open rate, crediting your account for the pre-closing PnL, so your positions carry through with the same economic value as they had before the close.
