ExxonMobil (XOM) is a world leader in the production of energies and petrochemicals. ExxonMobil operates through three primary segments: Upstream, Downstream and Chemical. Associated businesses deal in the exploration, cultivation, transportation and storage of crude oil and natural gas products. Also, ExxonMobil produces and markets various petrochemicals as well as raw materials for medical masks, gowns and hand sanitisers. The company was founded in 1870, with corporate headquarters in Irving, Texas.
XOM is listed for public trade on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Its consistently lofty valuations made XOM a prominent member of the DOW 30 for 92 years until its removal on 31 August 2020.
