How do I uninstall and reinstall the MetaTrader 4 platform?

Please Note: Make sure to backup any indicators, templates, or expert advisors that you would like to keep! Friedberg Direct is not liable for any lost data.

Backup & Restore

  1. Please go to the Start Menu and go to the Control Panel
  2. Go to the Programs and Features section
  3. In the list, find FXCM MetaTrader 4. Right click on it and press Uninstall/Change
  4. In the window that comes up check the box that says “Delete User Personal Data”
  5. Click “Next” to continue
  6. Allow the software to uninstall and then press finish.
  7. If you want to reinstall the software please download it from here.
